Master (2012) and Bachelor (2008) in Visual Arts from UFMG, Lucas Dupin’s dialogue with the contexts in which he works is the starting point for his research, although he often turns to the universe of books, nature and observation aware of the transience present in everyday life. Among the exhibitions and artistic residencies that he participated in are, for example, the 13th Mercosul Biennial (2022), Pivô (2019), the 6th Bolsa Pampulha (2016), FAAP (2017), FUNDAJ (2015), Banff Center (2011) and , in previous years, the FUNARTE Contemporary Art Award (2015) stands out. In 2022, he published his first monographic book, bringing together a selection of unpublished works and texts written by curators Cauê Alves and Élise Girardot.
